Corrosion-Resistant Machined Parts for Subsea Applications

Subsea equipment integrators buy corrosion-resistant machined components in small batches against unforgiving schedules — valve internals, connector parts, jumper fittings — where the alloy selection and documentation matter as much as the dimensions. We machine duplex, Super Duplex, Monel 400 and Inconel 625 from 50 pieces, quoted in 48 hours. One technical contact handles quoting, production and delivery questions from the first drawing through running supply.

The machining layer inside subsea packages

Subsea packages are won by integrators who hold the certification and the client relationship, but inside every package sits a set of machined components — valve internals, connector segments, jumper fittings — that the integrator subcontracts. Alloy selection is driven by seawater corrosion and process chemistry, documents are audited by the end client, and the schedule is driven by vessel availability rather than by any workshop calendar. The supplier who solves both at once — a certified alloy with a real dimensional report, at a lead time the vessel can wait for — becomes the standard for every future subsea program, which is exactly the position we build for.

We machine the corrosion-resistant component set in Super Duplex, Monel 400 and Inconel 625 with full heat-number traceability, so the integrator's package arrives complete and documented for the end client's review. Single-piece spares run on the same certified process, engineering changes are quoted at the same speed as the first order, and DDP deliveries arrive in 5 to 8 days by air. Welding and NDT remain with the certificate holder by design. Repeat orders reuse the stored specification without renegotiation, and the document pack repeats identically on every call-off so your files stay complete across programs and years.

Workflow: drawing, sample approval and recurring series

The standard flow: drawing review and quotation within 48 hours, first samples in 7–15 days, first article inspection and approval, then series production against the approved reference. Tooling, program revisions and inspection records are kept on file so that call-offs remain consistent with the approved first article.

Engineering changes — material substitutions, tolerance updates, plating or packaging changes — are handled as controlled changes against the same records.

Quality and documentation

DIN ISO 2768-mK applies as the default tolerance scheme for unspecified dimensions. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are standard for metallic parts, First Article Inspection supports the approval step, and RoHS/REACH declarations are available where required. Plating, cleanliness and packaging requirements are confirmed per drawing.

FAQ

Can you work inside a subsea package as a subcontractor?
Yes. We supply the machined-component set to the integrator with full documentation — EN 10204 3.1 certificates, dimensional reports and heat-number traceability — so the package arrives complete for the end client's review. Component drawings, alloy grades and inspection points come from your engineering team; machining, treatment coordination and reports come from us.

What about welding and NDT requirements?
Welding and NDT remain with the package holder or its certified partners, which is exactly how the scope splits cleanly: we machine, they join and inspect the joints. Where a machined part needs a preparatory feature for welding, we machine to the weld-prep geometry on the drawing and report it dimensionally like any other feature on the report. Fits are held to ±0.005 mm and reported individually on each certificate.

How do vessel schedules affect you?
They are the reason buyers keep us on file. When a vessel window moves, the package schedule moves with it, and machined components are usually the last items that can still make the boat. Quote in 48 hours, first articles in 7 to 15 days, and air DDP in 5 to 8 days means a slipped window does not have to become a missed installation season.

What are the payment and delivery terms?
New relationships start with 30 percent on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable letter of credit for framework values. First articles ship in 7 to 15 days, and series orders deliver DDP in 5 to 8 days by air including customs clearance, or 35 to 45 days by sea for planned call-offs against forecast.
