Machined Components for Pump & Valve Makers

Pump and valve makers outsource the parts that eat machine time: shafts, impellers, wear rings and machined components in stainless and duplex. We produce them from 200 pieces with sealing surfaces finished to Ra 0.8, EN 10204 3.1 on every batch, first articles in 7–15 days, DDP deliveries in 5–8 days by air and a quotation within 48 hours. Sealing surfaces run at Ra 0.8 or better as standard.

Where pump and valve makers lose margin

Every pump and valve program carries parts that are critical to lead time but uneconomical to make in-house: long shafts that need grinding between centres, wear rings with tight internal fits, small valve components in exotic alloys. Local shops quote long lead times for them, and the margin leaks out through expediting fees and idle assembly lines waiting for one turned part to arrive. The expense hides in the queue: one ground shaft held up at a local shop can stop an assembly line that costs far more per hour than the part itself, which is why delivery reliability weighs more than the last percent of price.

We machine these parts in 316L, duplex and Monel 400 on sliding-head lathes with centerless grinding, delivering sealing surfaces at Ra 0.8 or better and fits held to ±0.005 mm. Heat-number traceability rides on every certificate, repeat orders ship against your part number with identical documentation, and DDP deliveries arrive in 5 to 8 days by air so assembly schedules stop depending on one local grinding shop and its queue. Matched shaft and wear-ring sets ship with the fit dimension reported on both certificates.

Monel 400 for aggressive media is a stock capability, not a special order; duplex tooling is engineered per part.

Workflow: drawing, sample approval and recurring series

The standard flow: drawing review and quotation within 48 hours, first samples in 7–15 days, first article inspection and approval, then series production against the approved reference. Tooling, program revisions and inspection records are kept on file so that call-offs remain consistent with the approved first article.

Engineering changes — material substitutions, tolerance updates, plating or packaging changes — are handled as controlled changes against the same records.

Quality and documentation

DIN ISO 2768-mK applies as the default tolerance scheme for unspecified dimensions. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are standard for metallic parts, First Article Inspection supports the approval step, and RoHS/REACH declarations are available where required. Plating, cleanliness and packaging requirements are confirmed per drawing.

FAQ

Can you hold fits between mating parts?
Yes. Shaft and wear-ring pairs are machined as matched sets with the fit dimension reported on both certificates, so assembly does not depend on selection and sorting. Where a running fit matters, we agree the gauge method with your quality team at first-article stage and repeat the identical measurement on every batch that follows. Fits are held to ±0.005 mm and reported individually on each certificate.

Do you work in duplex and Monel?
Both are running materials in our shop: duplex for chloride-loaded pump parts and Monel 400 for aggressive media in valve stems and seats. Machining parameters are engineered per alloy to protect surface finish, and each batch ships with EN 10204 3.1 certificates showing the actual melt analysis against the specified grade for your file.

How do repeat orders work?
Running parts are stored against your part number with the full process specification, so repeat orders need only a quantity and a date. Standard repeat lead time is 5 to 8 days by air DDP, or 35 to 45 days by sea, and documentation repeats identically so your incoming inspection can run the same plan every single time.

Can you support repair and retrofit quantities?
Yes. Beyond series parts we supply repair quantities from single pieces, including slightly oversized machining for on-site line boring matches. Send the worn part as a sample; we reproduce it with a dimensional report and flag any wear-related deviations we find, so you decide the fit before the replacement enters service. Repair quantities from 1 piece are routine, and the dimensional report flags any wear-related deviation we measure.
