Yes — from the right factories. Top Chinese producers hold EN 12413 compliance, MPA test certification, and oSa membership (the same German safety framework European brands use). The spread between factories is wide, which is exactly why we audit and batch-test. Every shipment includes burst-speed sampling results and production-date verification.
For standard cutting discs and grinding wheels, MOQ is typically 5,000–10,000 pieces per SKU (often negotiable to 2,000–3,000 for mixed-SKU orders). Coated abrasives are usually quoted per square meter or per thousand pieces with MOQs around 3,000–5,000 units. Custom-label OEM programs generally start at 10,000 pieces or one pallet per SKU. Grinding media sells by the ton, typically 1 ton MOQ.
Resin-bonded wheels and discs have a shelf life of 2–3 years from manufacture (EN 12413 requires the expiry date on the label). We reject any lot older than 12 months from production date at inspection, and for sea freight we specify moisture-barrier packing so the product arrives with maximum usable life.
Yes. China is the world's largest producer of synthetic diamond grit, and its CBN/diamond wheel sector is growing over 15% annually driven by EV and semiconductor demand. We source resin, metal, and vitrified-bond diamond wheels for carbide grinding, PCD tooling, and wafer applications — with concentration and mesh verified per lot. For ultra-precision semiconductor thinning wheels, Japanese suppliers (Disco, Tokyo Diamond) still lead, and we will tell you honestly when China is not the right source.
Standard bonded abrasives: 20–35 days production. Coated abrasives: 15–30 days. Superabrasives: 30–45 days. Sea freight in a 20ft container (22–26 tons of discs/wheels) is the norm; abrasives are dense so containers weigh out before they cube out. LCL is workable for trial orders of a few pallets.
It depends on the destination. The EU, India, and Turkey have applied anti-dumping duties on certain Chinese grinding wheels and discs under HS 6804, while the US and most of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America currently apply normal duty rates. We check the current duty position for your market before quoting landed cost, and where duties are prohibitive we can source from factories in Vietnam or Thailand with equivalent quality systems.
