The obsolete-spare-part rescue

The original supplier disappeared, or the part is discontinued? Send us the sample — we reproduce it with a full dimensional report and first-article approval. It is the most common first order among our European clients.

After the rescue comes the series: batches per call-off, tooling and inspection records on file, and the same documentation with every shipment. One contact, one process, no surprises.

A measurement-instrument manufacturer sources 8 reproduced references (27,500 pcs/yr) from us after their previous supplier closed — reverse engineering with first-article approval is our most common European entry order.

Workflow: drawing, sample approval and recurring series

The standard flow: drawing review and quotation within 48 hours, first samples in 7–15 days, first article inspection and approval, then series production against the approved reference. Tooling, program revisions and inspection records are kept on file so that call-offs remain consistent with the approved first article.

Engineering changes — material substitutions, tolerance updates, plating or packaging changes — are handled as controlled changes against the same records.

Quality and documentation

DIN ISO 2768-mK applies as the default tolerance scheme for unspecified dimensions. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are standard for metallic parts, First Article Inspection supports the approval step, and RoHS/REACH declarations are available where required. Plating, cleanliness and packaging requirements are confirmed per drawing.

FAQ

Can you reproduce parts without a drawing?
Yes — send the sample. We measure, reproduce the drawing and deliver a dimensional report with the first article.

Which batch sizes are economic?
From 1 piece (spare parts) to 10,000 pieces (turned families); samples ship in 7–15 days.

Which documents accompany the parts?
EN 10204 3.1, First Article Inspection on request, dimensional reports against the drawing.

Delivery to the Netherlands or Belgium?
Air freight DDP in 5–8 days; sea freight for planned series.
